This is certainly going to be a controversial topic for many people, especially when they see where I fall on the issue of affiliate spying. However, it is important to understand that whether or not we like the idea of affiliate spying, it does exist and so far, nobody has made any rulings on it and the software that is being sold is still allowed to sell. So I’m going to put my two cents in and let you know what I think of this whole business of affiliate spying. You should find this article very educational and enlightening.

First of all, for those who don’t know what affiliate spy software does, it basically allows you to see who

the affiliates are for any particular product, thus letting you know who promotes a certain person’s products, and that is really the key. Most people use this software to try to persuade affiliates of say, Mike Filsaime, to come and promote their products. This is of course a simplified explanation, but for the purposes of this article, it will do. So the question is, is this ethical, stealing affiliates?

News flash…you CAN’T steal affiliates. Sure, the software will let you know who is promoting what, but the only way you’re going to get anybody to promote anything of your own is if you have a product that is worth promoting. And that is something that most people forget.

The truth

is, most affiliates promote a product of a certain person because they know that person has a great reputation and that the product will sell. So in a sense, they are very loyal to that person. Naturally, it’s in their best interests to be loyal. After all, they’re selling a product that is most likely making them a lot of money.

The person who tries to take this affiliate away from their regular merchant better be able to show the affiliate that their product is just as good and that they will have just as much chance to sell it. If they can’t do this, then no spy software in the world is going to convert that affiliate. Mike Filsaime

himself has just publicly stated over at the Warrior Forum that he has no problems with this software because ultimately what I just said is true. If you don’t have the product, you’re not going to be able to take anybody’s affiliates from them.

So, if you’re planning on getting Brad Callen’s new affiliate spy software, make sure you have the goods to back it up with. Otherwise, you’re just throwing away your money.
